That is a nice Layout Dirk, What is the Highlighted Yellow designate?

Challenge me, or correct me, but don't ask me to die quietly.

If I were to work at a marketing or sales department, I'd now be holding a speech about USPs (Unique Selling Points).....
The worth of the 'Golden' -say: fat Yellow- USPs is entirely up to the use you have in mind. A HTPC is not a Bitcoin Utopia USB Stick cruncher. Good audio is wasted on the latter, but is a prime factor in the former.
USB 3.0 comes in handy when (future) USB mining sticks require the extra bandwidth, and it is not only the number, but also the layout of the USB ports that dictate their usefulness for e.g. mining, or connecting other BOINC hardware (QCN, Radioactivity, etc.) My dream is a low-power machine that crunches Bitcoin Utopia, QCN, Radioactivity, GPU work, nci work and four instances of CPU work all at the same time...

Thanks for the great info. I am currently trying the MSI for a HTPC combined with a 5350. I ended up picking my favorite brand over features as I have had good luck with my MSI boards. I like the nice comparison on features as i can see how my choice compares.

The MSI board has -a point not taken into account in my matrix, for I don't have figures for all boards- the best power consumption figures in tests I read, both idle and under load.
I've just ordered my ASUS AM1I-A and I might buy an ASRock AM1H-ITX in the future too -and perhaps even an ASRock Q2900- to see how far I can go using low-power platforms and to discover which is suited best for what BOINC project.
