Smile What to use nvidia GPUs for

Hey team I'm closing in on a personal target one thousand million (aka 1 billion in some places) points in PrimeGrid.

I need advice as to where to run my nvidia cards.

    Needs:
    1. Maximum points
    2. Constant tasks
    3. No long running tasks
    4. As many updates as possible on bok's stats site - I like to see progress throughout the day

    Cheers guys.

ps My AMD GPUs are running either Poem or Milkyway.

    Hi Vaughan,

Thousand million..that's called miljard over here, and our miljardairs are just as rich as US billionaires. Our biljonairs however....they have 1000 times as much as US billionaires!

I do not know about the update rate, but you could try GPUGRid. Other nVidia friendly projects are Einstein@Home and Albert@Home. Regular Seti@Home pays peanuts,
Collatz is more AMD friendly, but can be crunched with nVidia as well. Do not try Seti@Home Beta, because they do not export updates to their stats and do not explain why either.
I still have to get more than 200k credits on FreeDC and BOINCStats for Seti@Home Beta.

Thanks for the reply Dirk. I forgot to mention that I reached my target 100 Million in GPUGrid. Worth knowing that Seti Beta has gone stupid so I'll avoid that project and I reached my 5 million target in it ages ago; similarly I reached my 10 million in Seti regular.
What happened to WCG's GPU tasks?
Looks like I might try some Collatz otherwise I'll leave the GPUs off and save some electricity.

Vaughan, it looks like you might need some new targets...
When simple milestones are exhausted, you can always try the funny ones. Bok's, Gonzo's, Clanks, MiRBs, Vaios, etc.

And soon Nflight will come with a BOINC project, hopefully with a GPU application as well...(and subprojects, and badges, the whole shebang)

Doesn't Folding@Home also run on GPUs? It's been a while since I've seen it, but I think they did. And as far as I remember they used to be very reliable

Folding should issue a BOINC application

I think they tried it a good number of years ago, but it was a flop... never actually got to a working status for some reason. The developers probably didn't have the time or budget to integrate boinc with their own custom systems at Stanford.

If someone could build a boinc wrapper project for Folding@Home, like Yoyo does for Distributed.net and others... now that would be awesome!

    I noticed you've found a goal....
