July is here! first some carry-overs:

June 24 to July 01 - Leiden Classical June challenge
As if living in Leiden itself is not enough: the team Colombia -from the Ukraine- has issued a challenge in honour of the Leiden Classical project. As they say at the project site: Join in and help to build a Desktop Computer Grid dedicated to general Classical Dynamics for any scientist or science student!
The building shown is really a Leiden University building -the Academy building- and at present also forms the entrance of the University botanical garden. The project is based sowhere entirely else though, most likely in the vicinity of the Gorlaeus Labs. There sits one uncommunicative admin who was either not told about this challenge or who did not care. Likewise his stand-in may completely trust the server status page and not check that with the daily results.

June 26 to July 02 - 8558 Hack - 2nd Margherita Hack memorial
June 29, 2013 Astrophysicist and science popularizer Margherita Hack left this world. BOINC.Italy wants to remember M.H. with this second challenge dedicated to her. TheSkyPOGS is the project that suits her (8558 Hack is a minor planet named after her). Happy crunching to everybody! This challenge actually works. Nflight must have collected a nice set of 'trophies' for POGs, as the badges are called here.
