    Windows XP x64...

Well, I installed it tonight and transferred all my files over to this drive leaving my 32 bit setup on an identical drive just in case. Everything works great and games all play perfectly. The only things that didn't work are the Intellimouse software and my AVG Anti-Virus software.

I believe it was that link you sent me. I have a legit version on the way too. A friend of mine traded me her XP Pro for XP Home. She had bought it cheaper through college and didn't even care about having the pro version. Now I am just aching to get games that are 64 bit.

Word of warning. I put on x64 I got off bit-torrent and it worked fine for quite some time. Then 2 weeks ago I rebooted it and it said that I needed to activate it. Then I clicked ok and it said it was already activated! I guess they are having problems with this even on legit versions. I have a legit version that came a few weeks ago but I was scared of it doing the same thing so I am back to XP 32 and waiting for some kind of fix for this. I guess it is fairly rare and random. If you search the net you will see other people having this problem. All this started immediately after installing AVAST anti-virus so maybe that is what caused it to have a fit. I may reinstall it on a second drive as a test. The other reason I jumped back to XP 32 is that I couldn't use my printer or my digital camera software.

I am pretty sure it won't run. It is pretty spotty as far as 32 bit software. I personally didn't have any trouble with games or DC stuff but no anti-virus would work except Avast was supposed to.

I tried all my av progs (including Norton) and none of them worked with x64. No firewalls worked either.

So I'm staying away for now.

Hmm. I wonder if I don't install this right away...will it affect my current license?
