Using it on three of my four windows boxes! Last one is stuck in windows 8.1 and I'll do a fresh install of 8.0 again and go all the way to 10.
    I f@#$ing hate Windows 8.1

So what would be an AMD equiv system to the NUC i5 RYK? A low power bugger that I could use for OGR/RC5. Anything presentable? Need it for my cabin where elec is pricier. Prefer to purchase from newegg.

I don't think that AMD has yet a CPU/APU/SOC that can compete, price/performance-wise, with the Core i5-5250U that's in your NUC.
But you -and I- might want to consider an Octo-core 64-bit ARM Android TV box (four Cortex-A53 and four Cortex-A57/72), that can crunch on the side.
You'll need at least a 2GB RAM model for it, preferably more.

An example from your favorite store, Newegg: Andoer Z4 Android 5.1 TV RK3368 Octa-Core 64 Bits 2G

Presentable, low power and can do crunching on the side.

So I tried Collatz on the NUC's 6100 gpu...... approx 20 min for one wu. As for the heat thing it got pretty warm as the little fan in there isn't really very efficient at getting the cool in and the hot out.... pretty much what I figured. I guess I've just been too contaminated by the higher horsepower world and will have maximum stress issues detuning myself to the s l o w point accumulation of the lower power world...........

So there Mr. Nflight, I tried the NUC for some crunching...... lol. Me thinks I'll have to stay with them super juicer AMD/Nvidia GPU's that suck power but give instant gratification. lol

Try some Enigma on the CPU cores, runs already good (=between 5 and 10 Hours per WU) on a Raspberry Pi2...and Goofyx, WuProp (both nci), heat being no real issue on a RasPi...
(though two added heat sinks per Pi improved stability)
