Hey guys, do you remember the newsfeed we once had running under AMDave's account, posting all the news from BOINC projects?

I never knew how that was done or maintained but in thinking back I did like it, so my question I guess would be for Dave... Hey Dave, would it be possible to re-instate it?
We could even create a special account called "BOINC News" or something like that so that it posted under that account.

We used to have a frontpage (with a.o. challenge information) too, but AMDave has run into problems with that page and vBulletin.

The CMS module broke down a while back after a nasty SQL injection hack. I was able to restore the forum but unable to restore the front page and articles. Research via vB forums concluded that our CMS module was pre 4.2 and not covered by the last license purchase But all the articles and threads still preserved in the forum database for the next vB upgrade which should fix it and bring the module back to working order.

But Dave, I was talking about the bot or script that was running under your account posting new threads for news for every project and stuff. Or was that you manually?

i don't recall ever turning it off, but it was in the disabled state.
I have turned it on again and run it .... and spammed the living daylights out of the What's New page :P
Some of the articles may be quite old.

Hey Dave, I've noticed there's two LHC projects that seem to be pulling in from the same source because the news always appear twice, is that because LHC "assimilated" all the sub-projects over time? Can you correct it, or turn one of them off? Each time LHC posts something two threads are generated.
