    EPYC SOCs and Motherboards

    EPYC SOCs.

Yes, you read that well. Not of the smelly kind, but of the kind that needs neither video card nor chipset -a lot like the AM1 platform, but then more capable.
It is just that they are not for sale at the moment, at least not for Joe Consumer. And that just the SOCs, you'll need a motherboard too.

The only single-socket 'consumer' board I've seen sofar is the Gigabyte MZ31-AR0, but they have real server boards too.

Supermicro has teased us with the dual-socket Supermicro H11DSi and Supermicro H11DSi-NT and promises even more soon

Tyan has a TYAN S8026 and there seems to be even more too there...

Acme -of Willy E. Coyote fame- Micro Sytems has a board that is bound to catch the Roadrunner, the dual socket Acme Micro Sytems A+ H11DSi-NT

So, when they start appearing I can tell you more
