    De-liding

    I have been seeing some references to removing the metal lid on late model intel chips to see some improvements in reducing chip operating temperatures. Of course that voids the warranty. Has anyone here any experience with that????

    We had discussions on this maneuver quite a few years ago but we called it something completely different then de-lidding. now looking
