    Better have two 1700X systems first -that's also 32 threads. You can always buy a threadripper later, when RAM prices have settled at a lower level.

    i have a job for the Threadripper, tho! plus i might be able to resell at a price higher than eBay+PayPal's fees!

    Threadripper prices are dropping fast (here too), you might have a problem reselling at a higher price...

    With the Threadripper 2000 series already out, the resellers are trying to get rid of the 1000 series stock, making it a great opportunity for all crunchers to grab one cheap

    Or if you wait a while longer sometime 2019 the new Threadripper 3000 series produced on 7nm should come out with a bang!
