HWinfo64 says either 63C or 83C depending on which number you pick.

I'm looking at getting a Noctua NH-D15S to replace the stock cooler.

maybe consider this? it might be $30 cheaper (or more) than the D15/D15S... or the slightly more expensive Ninja 5 (still cheaper than Noctua)... or even cheaper than Mugen, the Windale 6

I'd go for a Noctua NH-D15S with two extra 150mm fans -provided there is room on the mobo to place them.

Or if noise is not a problem slap 3x Noctua NF-F12 industrialPPC-3000 PWM and tie it down because it will fly off the socket!

Three of these should be enough, and less noisy.

Anybody know when the Ryzen 9 3950X is due out in retail? I heard 30th September but it is just guessing.

Your guessing has the same date as that of the media. Hopefully Threadripper 3 also comes out that day.

Just a bit of information for you guys seeking these new AMD Gems. The mining community is also after them for the random X algorithms. I'm not sure how it will play out when monero forks to this algorithm. There is rumor of CPU farms being built to work on these various coins moving to random X as it will not be as GPU friendly. It may drive our prices up or we may be able to find some great CPU deals if it becomes a short lived solution.
