Transit of Mercury Across the Sun Challenge
Please join PrimeGrid as we run a 10 day challenge to celebrate this year's transit of Mercury across the sun. This rare astronomical event won't occur again until 2032.This challenge runs from November 1st 18:04 UTC through November 11th 18:04 UTC on our PSP Prime Search (LLR) Project. There's 7 k's being tested by our PSP project. Will we be able to find a prime for one of the remaining k's during the challenge? The last PSP prime was found in 2017. (Two additional k's are in both the PSP and SoB projects and are being tested as part of SoB.)For more information and discussion, please head over to the official challenge thread: https://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=8864Good luck!

No wonder it is a 10-day challenge, the WUs take 10 days to complete!

I agree Dirk these tasks do take a long time to crunch.

It is a shame that PG decided to put these last 2 challenges so close to each other as it is costing a fortune to run the AWS instances to remain in the top 10. I don't know what power the leader has but it must be a Datacentre's worth of computers.
