We are now in 17th in full swing, and Italy will be going down at the marathon in a few hours too. I hope that we can reach 15th or at least 16th to overtake LITOMYSL in the sprint. Javelin throw could bring us some points too.

We need to pas Team China at the Javelin to stay at the same level of points, Javelin-wise, because LYTOMYSL will try to reach for #11 with at 2+ million throw -they have two of those already.
We might get more points at the Javelin, but only if some teams fail at their 5th throw. Luckily the Javelin starts at the Sprint's end.

Reached 8,500,000 for NFS, but Vaughan is doing even better and has passed me in RAC, while SuicideCabbage is closing in on me too, RAC-wise.
Will we be able to pass BOINC.Italy and/or LYTOMSL before 18 May 2021 00:00 UTC?

NFS server problems both between volunteers and project and between project and Pentathlon.
"Disks are lagging. iotop shows 10MB/s average read and 10MB/s average write."

But I crunch on like nothing is happening till 00:00 UTC, when I switch to WCG's MIP for the Javelin.

177 pending now (uploaded, reported, but not validated yet)

Edit: just 80 pending now, may reach 8,600,000 yet tonight, who knows..I am now at 8,553,743

Edit2: Yes the validator works fully again chart (3).jpeg, BOINC.Italy and/or LYTOMSL still might get overtaken by us

So we are making a 5th throw, very well. I had switched off NFS back to SiDock at 2350ish, but I will move 172 cores off SiDock to MIP to make up for lost time. Got home today to see I fell just 30 hours short of making it out of this Pentathlon unharmed. Sadly with the ambient temperatures today being the highest of the entire run, a poor i5-3470 just couldn't push the competition clocks any longer.

We should abandon this throw immediately and move our cores to SiDock. Certainly China is making another throw and we can't pass EVGA.

China can throw all they want, it is their 3rd best result (likely to be 1 ,084, 975 but so far 1,064,202) that counts, and that is well below what we can do. We only have to score more than 1 ,084 ,975 and we pass China. We can stop after passing 1,293,928 because that will be our 3rd best then -but that only makes sense when other teams fail the 5th throw. Which EVGA is doing at the moment...

The Italians have thrown almost every core on the Marathon -they must have found out they can't pass us at the Javelin-, we are not likely to pass them (or any others at the Marathon).
