OK NOW, I'm not the only one running SUSE

OK, Who is running SUSE? :?:

I started with TurboLinux V3 in 1999 moved to SuSE V7.0 then V8.0 a short spell with RH9.0 and then SUSE 9.1 now V9.2 X64 and will be V9.3 X64 when it is FTPed. And will buy V10 in OCT. I might give Fedora a try agine now that some of the bugs or worked out. ;)

Not I. Although I am supporting a neighbour's SuSe 9.1 machine. It runs well for them, but it's just not my preference.

I am on FC3, RedHat and Lindows(boot-cd) when I need to borg a machine. The FC3 install still has a couple of stability issues.

While I was dropping and creating partions last week, I loaded Suse 9.3 on for a look see.

I would prefer Debian, but even this latest release "sarge" still will not run on my hardware.
    v frustrating.

Then I took Solaris 10 out for a spin. I was actually very pleased with the install, and it even told me which driver file I needed to get for my NIC. But you realy need better h/w specs than mine for it to run properly, so I decided not to pursue it.

30 minutes later...back in FC3 and crunching again.

The FC4 install is now available so it is on my priority list, http://fedora.redhat.com/

I have high expectations for this release, but I will drop it like a stone if it is an "almost but not quite" result this time.

Mm. no reason to wait today. I want to know now...

I have many Linux versions installed in spare partitions on various machines. I have Suse, FC3, Mandrake, Knoppix, and Slackware in a running state. They all seem ok, but I always end up using only Slackware for one reason or another.

Yes, exactly. The second half is because I was running Chessbrain a lot.

Welcome to the AMD Users' team forum. What applications are you running under SUSE? Any distributed computing projects? What hardware are you running?

    Hello :D

klew: I hope to hear about your set up, and welcome to AMD users.

P.S. I just switch to SuSE 10 rc1, and it is awesome.

Just wanted to pop in and say I'm running SuSe on one machine.
I had it more, but switched some back to Windows and a couple to Mepis, due to "connection" problems in Boinc.
