i guess i'm late to this: GPUs on WCG

anyone know how long ago a GPU project was added? 😅 guess i'll balance it as the days get cooler

also, any ideas on how Arc cards are doing for compute?

    COVID-19 has GPU WU's
Intel Arc cards are great on FP64, relatively

Caveat: find a project that uses both Intel GPUs and FP64....

what's the best way to find what kind of math a project uses a lot of (or better yet, the GPUs best for it)? i'm JUST starting to learn/look into projects optimal for a particular GPU/line/whatever

If you are familiar with the project WuProp you can use 'results' to answer at least a part of your question. http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/results/gpu.py
AFAIK, MilkyWay@Home is the only project actively making use of FP64, but I am not sure.

Some projects have on their project main page an entry in the menu 'Top GPU Models', e.g. MilkyWay@Home: https://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/gpu_list.php

interesting, my K40 pandemic score might be as fast as a 3080, at least with mw@h

is it just me or are the GPU units super slow at being distributed?

If you want to crunch WCG on your GPU you'd best use your CPU for WCG too and also select other GPU projects, or your GPU will spent part of its days idling away...
