Team chat meeting (Today ppl! get in and come talk to us!!)

Hey everyone!

Now that we got a chatroom up and running, how about we set a meeting online once a month to expose our thoughts and ideas to our admins? :P Saying what's right, what's wrong and giving our oppinions and ideas for improvements.

After all, we are a small but very dynamic team... and it's up to us to try to improve ourselves.

My thought was to set a day (on a weekend preferably) with two distinct meeting times, so that people from all sides of the globe could join us and chat without having to be awake at 3 am

The first meeting could be some day in the beggining of July. And among other things we could talk about how the month of June went by for us.

So... post away your oppinions about it. Any dates or times that you would prefer, post them too. Let's see if we can organize it

We used to have a yahoo messenger meeting, but that fizzled out.

So are we saying Saturday 2nd July is suitable? Now we need some times. Let's base it on Greenwich Mean Time and then we can all add or subtract to calculate what the time will be in our own time zones.

That day is fine by me. Now, on a saturday, what part of the day do we have some free time? I would say at night after supper, most likely. Given that on weekends the day is for resting (morning is sacred) and for all those usual domestic shores or spending quality time with the family (afternoon is usually the best time for that)
And all this considering that people have the weekends off (which does not apply to alot of people who work on weekends, and have their breaks at some other days...)

So... are we getting closer to setting a time?
What time do you people have supper? I have at about 8 or 9:00 pm most of the times.

Hmm.... I've been looking at a time zones map and am finding this a bit tricky....
If only the globe was a bit smaller we wouldn't have so many time zones...

Anyways, I know that most of our members hail from three distinct places, North America, Europe, and Oceania... which have all about 8 hours of difference from each others.

Since I'm seeing this kind of hard to define times good for all of us, I propose another idea... Team chat meeting day!

Let's make it the whole day a come-and-chat-with-us day! All that have some free time Saturday, come and spend it with us chatting.
I'll probably be most of my day at home, so I'll be a presence for several hours in the chatroom. So come on in everyone at the time that best suits you! I'm sure you'll find me or someone else here to talk to.

if it was then creating a conference is easy, then people can come and go as they wish. I think we are all on bb so if we leave the client open we can see what is said by everyone else anyway.

Whatever time we dont wont suit everyone, late-ish for some while a little early for others.
