    lo all

just a quick hello to all AMD users,

    the current lineup

    64-3200 A8N-E, PIC-E 5900 vivo, raid0 raptors, 1 gig OCZ 2225
    64-3200 A8N SLI dual 6600GTs, raid0 seagates, 1 gig kingston
    64-3200 K8V delux,5200, raid0 seagates, 512 Corsair
    64-3000 K8N 5200 vivo, raid0 maxtors, 1 gig kingston

think I am going to stop there, at least until the A8N-E and the A8N SLI are dual core,

look forward to contributing to the forum and dimes.

far from being a n00b at this ;)

    Hello there thorshammer

Quite an arsenal you got there. You could reach high places on the team with that kind of weapons. :P Will you only run Dimes?

Anyways, glad to have you on board. Any doubts, questions or problems, post'em away!

Interesting lineup thorshammer. All A64s and all raid0. What's the performance comparison like between the raptors and the seagates?

took me a long time to be happy with multitasking, i hate waiting for winblows, it was a NF7-S XP2500, running 2gig of crucial and a pair of raid0 maxtor 80s before i actually started running more then one app at once, the raptors rock, in real life they are about 20% faster then the seagates although i find the seagates alot quieter, I have read there are many issues with raid and the nvidia chipset but to date havn't had any problems...the 64-3200 clawhammer was built when the 64s were first released even tho it had a 1 meg L2 I am far more satisfied with the A8N-E ..running it stock with the OCZ ram it beats the hammer hands down.

As to running anything else other then Dimes at the moment, what was the thot?

thanks for he hello!!!....seems to me agent for agent we all seem to run neck and neck..has anyone really figured out what makes the difference?
certianly isn't processor and as to connection i would imagine most of us are on some form of hispeed, as for myself i have 2 running on a 5mbs cable, 1 on 3mbs DSL, and 1 on wireless 1.5mbs. course knowing myself i should RTFM, but then I like the original method of 2 hands spread across the k/b and see what happens
    ;)
