    We're currently at #5: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/t...llengeId=11003
After February 28, when the PrimeGrid commitments fall away, we might be able to climb further.

I have flushed some water blocks to help get a bit more speed to help with the points. I will have to see what else I can do to get a few more points on my end. I'm not sure if the old 2419 chips would be of much help anymore.

That is a lot of hardware to upgrade (at least mobo, ram, and cpu)... What is your budget? Is there a local 2nd hand circuit with server parts where you can exchange/buy material?
    6 cores/6 threads @40Watt CPU Power/60 Watt Tdp...
So, effectively 10 Watt per thread -not bad, but a 12 core/24 thread Ryzen 9 7900 has a Tdp of 65 Watt, so only 2.7 Watt per thread. But that is a desktop CPU for a desktop system. The server equivalent is the AMD EPYC 4464P.

Efficiency is good to have. I just have the old hardware on standby for helping here and there and messing with. They fit a lot of cores in the HP C7000 setup for their time period. With electric rates continuing to climb I have moved as much as I could to 5950s and 5900s with a simple bios update and CPU upgrade. The 2419s still gave some points from my test run so we can get the heat and the points on the ones that still run. I'm not sure I'm ready to reinvest much money on new hardware yet. I hope to see some big efficiency gains in the future upgrades.

Efficiency (as in Gflops/W) is one of the subjects that Jeff Geerling holds lists for.
Still, those Ampere servers with their high Wattage do not look economical to me, efficient as they are. Would be interesting to know how they compare to a 192-core/384-thread AMD EPYC 9005 (having a tdp of no less than 500 Watt), especially with hyperthreading enabled.
Seems that if you go for as much bang as your buck can buy, you'd be best of with an Apple M4 Mini -but what BOINC projects does it run?

Started today with WCG, but I can hardly get any new WUs at the moment..

I think they are catching up, as a few of mine that ran out of work units are now loaded up again.

Yup, points for WCG as a project are trickling in again. Points for my subprojects remain dry however, as Bok hasn't updated my verification code.
