Just did my usual job on my birthday -which is delivering parcels at the moment, but had jummy food (Thai)
Cake is planned for tomorrow, when the relatives visit.

So e.g. a Banana Pi M2, an Odroid C1 and a Banana Pi M3 extra will give me close to 56 (active) cores and 62 (active) threads...
Son needs an i7, I will tell him...Must talk the wife in she needing at least a quad core too. It's a pity her iPad Mini won't run BOINC, which rules out my mothers iPad Air2 too.
Might have to talk my daughter into running BOINC as well...though when I get the CubieBoard running I am into business too. I am just phasing out my original Raspberry Pi B+ -again- but now in favour of a Raspberry Pi 3. Raspberry B+ will be used for fun projects -trying to get QCN to run from it-, as will the BeagleBone Black when the CubieBoard gets fired up.

My next birthday will be my 64th, how are things now? How far am I away from 64 active cores/threads?
Looks like I might set my future goal to having twice the cores as compared to my age, I already have that capacity in threads...

Looks like I succeeded setting my future goal having twice the cores as compared to my age, I almost have triple that capacity in threads now...

Lol... Had to chuckle on your comment on doing the same thing on your birthday ie parcels. Pretty much what seems to happen as the years go by! :-) Anyway, I hope you had a good one and did something that you enjoyed. Was looking at your farm list. I see you have the fever! surely you could drop a few systems for a gently used 1950X or something... unless they're skyrocketing in price (i haven't really kept track since getting mine for $450 new, plus a used board for $200). i might be giving up on a 3950X/5950X and looking towards a 7700/7700X/7950X (tho my $85 A620 board won't be happy at the latter
