    Connection Failed Problem

Since a few hours ago, I couldn't get BOINC to connect to my computer. I even restarted my computer and reinstalled BOINC. Nothing worked. I even tried the "Connect Computer" button and typing in localhost and 127.0.0.1. Didn't work either.

Any solutions? I wanna resume crunching w/ BOINC.

What boinc version are you using? I had problems like that with some older versions, but now it doesn't happen no more.

Also check if any firewalls are interfering with the boinc client or the boinc manager files.

Oh yeah, forgot version. 4.45 (latest). Seems to be just happening now. I doubt it's because I defragged my computer last morning.

I disabled my firewall, still no go.

I don't know then... I'm supposing you are working in windows... have you checked if the windows firewall is disabled? (in case you use another firewall)

In last case, try uninstalling boinc, then erasing the boinc folder in the program files to delete all left overs, and only then reinstall boinc again.

I don't use the windows firewall. And reinstalling boinc after deleting the whole folder doesn't work. :'( I want to crunch w/ boinc.

If it somehows fixes itself or I find a way to fix it, I'll reply here.

Just a shot in the dark, but... check if your network settings, services, and protocols, are all correct and working on the control panel...

My language settings is blank, but when I choose English (Canada) and press OK. It goes blank when I check it again. HTTP and SOCKS proxy are all grayed out.

Are you running a router in your setup?Maybe it needs some ports opening?
