It's basically like having two 2.8Ghz Intel Pentium 4 processors in one machine. It's pretty sweet. I highly recommend you get one. I'll test it out on more projects soon. I have run SOB, that topped out at about 4.3M with the dually. You can look at the Sztaki stats in a few days and see how much more i'm doing. I can do about 5200 in Ubero with all my PC's going. Does anyone else have a project they wanna see the output on?? Any requests???
Preferably something I can run more than one instance of. On an Intel Dually, the cores can't talk to each other, so they process seperate. The AMD cores can talk to each other, therefore making a 2.4GHz AMD Dually a 4.8GHz machine. At least that's what I got from the research. So basically the Intel is better at actually multitasking. The AMD is more power related. So the AMD would probably have been a better choice. But they didn't have any. So I bought the Intel. Plus my wife let me buy it, so I didn't wanna wait for an AMD. I didn't want her to change her mind.
