Greetings from Thailand
Hello AMD Users team mates,
I have arrived in Bangkok. Wow, its hot and humid here :!:
34C and the humidity must be 90% or more.
I did a city tour yesterday and saw lots of temples. Must have seen hundreds of Buddhas - golden Buddha, reclining Buddha, variations on a theme of every other sort of Buddha too
My notebook drained two batteries on the 9.5 hour flight but I have found a plug gender changer so I have plugged my adapter in to mains power and can re-charge the notebook now. Fortunately Thailand uses 220V 50Hz so all I required was a plug that would fit the Australian 3 pin design.
Currently I'm logged on a the Baxter Healthcare trade stand at the conference I'm attending. They are kind enough to sponsor 9 internet terminals for the delegates to use.
On checking my stats I can see that my farm is alive and well back home. Doomeva must have been looking after the computers - thanks son - or we haven't had any power failures recently. One possible scenario to think of is maybe it was the HP laptop that was causing the power outages!
I have read the pleas for help in uFluids - there are 3 tasks I have completed and well report when I return. Not impressed with these silly short SOB tasks - its crunched already on the P4 and is also waiting to connect. Lagu I'm helping with some D2OL tasks as I have >1,000 cached to work through. Jeff and Daddygeek, I might get a chance to do some TSC tasks too.
Time to log off now,
Happy Crunching guys,
Vaughan
