But then, the carbon absorbtion is different for different types of land and flora. Also; I have yet to calculate my carbon footprint, so although I think it'll be good I don't really know.

Yeah I bought 640 acres of range land in NW Nevada on e-bay last fall. In about 4 months the assessed value went up over 350%. It'll be my retirement business / property. My father and I are planning to set up an LLC in Nevada and establish a Ranch (to comply with the often ignored treaty between the USA and the Paiute Indians stating that only forts, postal offices and ranches may be developed in the territory areas), mostly just for the tax breaks, but we'll have to establish the business and run it as a business to make it legal.

Nevada doesn't have a state personal income tax or a state corporate income tax (Thanks to the "sin" taxes on prostitution and gambling). There are lots of state and some federal tax incentives for developing land and both state ($2,500 >25%< refund on a $10,000 or greater investment) and federal (35% refund) incentives for renewable energy development. The property does not have electricity or any other utilities available. So the 60% worth of rebate incentives are very favorable for investing in solar energy for my electrical production. Wind energy was a thought, and I may add that later, but the USGS has rated this area as only a 3 of 10 rating for sustainable wind - unreliable and borderline at best. The main business will probably be to grow and harvest crops for biodiesel. I think that once people realise ethanol is a dead end (way too much C02 created in its production, way too little energy when used and reports are starting to come out about the toxic and possibly carcinogenic waste products of ethanol when burned), it's going to go out of favor - or at least won't be as profitable.

This one is ok, I registered for ages and rarely get any spam. The little I get is probably not because of them.

This is a charity project, in which they just ask you to go to the site and click once a day. They earn cents for each click we do and (supposedly) use it to protect lands.

I don't think they track our cookies, or else we could click any number of times we wanted each day just by deleting the cookie.
