Welcome to the AMD Users forums jugraham! :D
Are you into Distributed Computing? (if yes, what projects do you run?)
What are the specs of your machine(s)?
Maybe you'd better introduce yourself before we flood you with more questions?;)

I have been running folding@home and just started one called world community grid.
I have the following specs
165 Opteron @2.4Ghz
2 G of ram @ 488mhz timing of 2.5-3-3-7
2 WD 200GB drives in raid 0
ATI Radeon X800XL
I was looking for something else to help out with other than just Folding@home to make full use of my new CPU.
MY CPU and X800XL all water cooled.
Impressive machine!
About something else to help out... I don't know. I'd say try a few and see which one you like the most.
I see you're more into biomedical projects, right? If that is the case, then I can remember off the top of my mind, SIMAP, Predictor@Home, D2OL... and there are surely more.

I was reading on some of the posts that Word Community Grid was running things in the background on some peoples computers. Is that true? Does anyone know more on that topic?
Yes, I like to stay with the ones in the medical area. I like know that what I am doing is helping people.
Thank you for the tips. I was looking at Predictor@Home also.
Welcome to the team!!!

Jugraham
Welcome to the forums.
Have you ponder on D2OL? I´m running this project and I´ve download 2000 taks as I can run offline. It is a lot of works and no babysitting is in use. Only let it run.
Lagu :D
Once an AMDuser always an AMD user
I tried looking up more info on D2OL but their site seems to be down or something. :?: Any program that will run in the background and I don't have to take care of it is the only ones that I will use. I don't like to baby sit.
Thanks everyone for the welcome!
welcome jugraham!
