Welcome Bozo & bhelfrich
Welcome to both of you! :D
I see that Bozo found us through BBC Climate Prediction, but what about you bhelfrich? What projects do you guys like the most? And what are the specs of your machines?
By the way, make yourselves at home. Don't hesitate to post if you have any questions or if you just wanna talk with the rest of the Team.
Come by whenever you can. We participate in over 40 distributed computing projects, so there's always plenty going on around here.
Drop us a post or two if you can guys.
I'll be here to answer.

Thanks for the welcome. This is the first time I have done this kind of thing but I am hooked already. I have been an AMD fan since my 600 Duron many years ago and have watched AMD claw their way to where they are now, it's been pretty scary at times! I like to think that I have done my bit to spread the word and support them as much as possible. My processor history is as follows and starts for real in 1993
*ntel 486 SX33
Cyrix DX2 66
Cyrix PR200 thingy
*ntel Celeron 366
Duron 600
Thunderbird 900
XP1600 my first real overclocking adventure @1800Mhz
XP1700 JIUHB DLT3C @ 2160
Mobile Barton @2350
Everything since the Duron is still in use but have been handed on or sold and I now have
Msi Neo4-F with an Opteron 146 @2.8Ghz (10 x 280) with an X800XL
Biostar T-Force 6100 with ax XP3000+ Venice @2.7Ghz (9 X 300) with a 6800Gs
With so much processing power it would be a crime not to put it to good use so when this is over I will be looking for another project. As I have started a bit late in the day you will be getting plenty of processor cycles from me. All I need now is a couple of Opteron 165's to clock the hell out of and then.........
I have a couple of friends who also run AMD systems so I'll see if I can get them interested
Cheers for now Hughjavascript:emoticon(':D')
Very Happy

Distributed computing is indeed a very addicting sport
And with those two systems you're running you'll be on the top places of our Team for BBC in no time!
If you ever get bored of BBC, we run over 40 other projects. Here's a list of them and how our Team is doing at each.

We try to have something here for everyone's delight. From physics, to astronomy, to biology, to maths... anything. If you find a project out there in which we are not (and that is open to public) tell us and we'll get on it!

Hi, I actually created the account to try and trace a link to (yet) another DC project Nano-Hive@Home that eminated from here as I'm in charge of answering questions and rumors about it. I can't find where the link is though.
I have been drawn into reading the forum however - I may have to upgrade to an AMD chip just so I can join this team :D
Cheers,
--Brian.

No, it's not necessary to upgrade... we accept intels too really. They're really good on maths projects.
Is that a new project for Boinc I see? :D

Welcome to the team Bozo and bhelfrich. Nice to see you guys join us.
Interesting new project bhelfrich. How about a beta for us when it gets released. ;) I'm just kidding, but i'm interested.
