I know why Apple moved chips but why Intel? ...surely AMD would have been more appropriate (faster, cheaper, less heat, less power consumption!).

I heard something like they could have gone amd, but AMD wouldn't have been able to produce enough chips to supply them. Its the same with AMD/dell. But still i thought people bought Apple pcs to escape from intel, and Apple's newest chips are faster than intel's, so why they went to intel is a mystery to me.

I´m sure an Apple PC would cost more than an AMD. They have never been cheap but the quality have always ben good.
