Thankfully smell doesn't come through an online connection... yet! (I've heard of experiments with hardware to recreate smells, that would be used for games for example)

Anyhow... since some time that my IE is behaving strangely. Whenever I open a site that is playing background music, like this one for example, even after I close the IE window the music keeps on playing. It will only stop once I close *all* open IE windows. :?

neo - the smell thing you mention was in PCW magazine (UK) last year. About some Australian perfume company using it so users could create and actually smell their personal perfume and then have it made.
maybe dave or vaughan can expand on this?
