    Uptime Project

This isn't really a DC project, but still interesting.

    Check it out here http://www.uptime-project.net

    Our team is here http://amdusers.league.uptime-project.net/

cicide is top with 287 days uptime
    vaughan is 2nd with his P3 750, 43 days
I'm 3rd with my laptop, 24 days. I wonder that will keep going before it goes pop!

I prefer sorting it by record instead of average. Sometimes I end up having to reboot often due to lack of free memory (damn mem leaks), or faulty drivers, or anti-virus/windows/applications updates and that messes up my average.

    My record so far is 12d 16h 55m 56s

NOTE: Remember people, that each different computer that you add to this project, requires setting up a different account on the site.

I suppose bouncing the system to access another email account is not a good thing?

"Only users that updated their uptime within the last 3 days are displayed."

NFlight, I didn't understand what you mean. You mean something like using someone else's email?

Microsoft Outlook will not allow you to access a different account without rebooting the computer, Even though I am the only user I have two user accounts on this system. To access the other Outlook account I must reboot the system hence bounce the system to get to choose which account I want to read mail from. Comprendeh ? :?:

Ah, yes, now I understand what you mean Nflight.
I was a bit confused because I wasn't seeing a relation between the emails thing and the uptime project. (Of which this thread was talking about)

I don't know how that is done with Outlook, but I'm sure it can be done somehow. I usually check my emails all on site, don't work with outlook.

your 750 is at 45 days.

On the OPTIONS tab of the Client, did you select Method 2 (unlimited) or leave the client on Method 1 (limited to 49 days) - default ?

Just thought to ask as I don't know yet what happens when you hit 49 days on Method 1 :?: Possibly it just stops reporting back to the project.

I installed the client on my 800 a while ago but I still haven't got it to talk to the internet yet. :?
