    Welcome Footmaster & Kromwell

Welcome both to the Forums :D

Kromwell, hope you don't mind being welcomed twice, but this is kind of a custom here.

Make yourselves at home guys, the whole forums is at your disposal. Also, don't hesitate to post if you got any questions. If it's around distributed computing, hardware, software, AMD, and things like that we can answer... other topics I can't guarantee. lol

Also, tell us a bit about yourselves and your machine(s). What are your favorite projects? Have you been around distributed computing for long or are just starting?

Come by when you can and drop us a line. There's always alot going on around here. Any day of the week that you come by, you'll see dozens of new posts.

    Have fun!

thanks! I am still pouring through the forums and trying to get a handle on all the fun!

I have a little bit of experience with DC from a few years ago. I was involved for a bit in the United Devices program. It was fun, but I wasnt in a group... I think this go round will be more enjoyable as this group seems like a blast.

working on 4 projects now... well, three are active ( still waiting on LHC to give me my first work ) and just trying to get an idea of how things work.. I downloaded on optimized client and followed the directions for installation, now I will see if it helps!

Welcome to the team Kromwell & Footmaster.

I'm guessing you know a lot of Cromwell and English revolution history? Had to learn that last semester in Social Studies 9.

Kromwell, keep an eye out on LHC's main page, particularly the server status bit on top. Right now it is showing:
    Server Status

    Up, out of work
    18554 workunits in progress
When the number of workunits in progress reaches zero, it won't be long until a new cycle of work is started and they release about a hundred thousand new workunits.
In the meantime, there's plenty of other projects out there to play with.

    What's your favorite so far?
