I got this from the other reseller I was recommended. These packets are a cheaper one. I can of source buy a veritable power computer if my wallet says yes, yes.

#4 but there is no Operating System or Monitor mentioned. Have to allow for OS and maybe use a KVM switch to use your existing Keyboard, Video monitor and Mouse.

Yes, i would say packet 4 too. It gives you a new keyboard and mouse . :D I also noticed that the video card has a tv out option. So you get S-video and composite video ports, both of these can connect to your TV :D . I already use a S-Video cable to connect to my TV. I can tell you it was very cheap, like $10 US. Just look at your TV and see if it has a S-Video port on it. If not then you can just use the composite video. Of, course you get a VGA port and a DVI port, but the TV-out one is really cool. Don't be confused, you can use your computer monitor and tv at the same time :D .

My question here to you Lagu is what is this computer to be used for? If it is only going to be a cruncher, then you don't need all that stuff. You could buy a dual core AMD, XP-64 for the O/S, a 100gig Seagate Barracuda, case, 24-ping 400W Antec P.S. and a KVM cheaper than what you are looking at for the #4 (close to $1,800 US), and have more than twice the computing power.

The mobo I have is an A8N-VM-UAYGZ Asus board, with built in video and network adapter, for around $100. I bought the Seagate Barracuda because of the 5 year warranty - 100gig at around $100. I also put 2 gig of memory in it . The 400W Antec PS was from Fry's for $62. I went with an X2 3800 chip with fan, got a case for $50 to stick it in, and I have less than half the price of your #4 computer tied up in it. The X2's run cool compared to the other stuff and use less power.

If you have the space you could put two X2-3800 systems together and do some serious increasing of your crunching horsepower!! You would have (4) equivalents of your package #4 for around the same price of your single #4 system.

Just a note that something listed is wrong... Athlon XP's run on Socket 462 (A) motherboards. Socket 754 is an A64 platform. Let me just list what I would buy today if I were to build another system.

Opteron 165 (retail package now includes a nice heatsink)
DFI Lanparty Ultra-D motherboard
1 or 2 gigs of quality RAM (lately I've been using 2x1GB of GSkills PC4000)
Fortron AX-500 powersupply (or the 400W Fortron "green" version - high efficiency)
Whatever optical drives are needed (I like NEC DVD burners)
Any SATAII drive(s) you like (16MB cache preferrable)
A mid-range video card (I now like the 7600GS - its low power and can be passively cooled)

Hi

Yes if I should buy a new computer it should be both blind and deaf. No creen, no loud, I.E no loudspeaker a sheaper graphic card, no diskette station, no DVD-burner, only a simple CD-rom player, a sheaper Ethernet and of sourse an AMD processor faster and more powerful than my current one dedicted to DCÃ*ng only. How I will have it will be a lather history.

I notised on my resellers homepage he has a Pentium III for sale. I will talk to him today how much he will have, if there is a OS or not, how powerful it is. Perhaps I will add some more memory if it only has 256 MB
It should replace my Intel II lather.
