    Is anyone else using it?

    Can get it from here...
    http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.p...sion=5.0&dev=1

Thought may as well help test it on my main rig ( I mean I virtually babysit it anyhow :P )

    My benchmarks dropped
Still no support for CPU types

    Nope not trying again.

been warned not all projects will accept it so downgraded again and had to do a complete reinstall of BOINC deleting all the files

Not recommeneded unless you really want to help develop it and dont mind if not all the projects will accept connections.

    Among the new features...
Customized clients can now be created.
Account manager support has been enhanced.
Farm manager support has been added.
    Changes since 5.4.3
    Performance Enhancements.
Improve dialogs on Linux so they fit well on the screen and have OK buttons.
    Changes since 5.4.2
Fixed a shutdown problem which was causing the manager to linger around even after the core client had shutdown.
Fixed a window flicker problem on application startup.
    Changes since 5.4.1
Fix a crash when running under Win9x and screen saver passwords are enabled.
    Changes since 5.4.0
Screensaver fixes when running on a machine without a graphics accelerator.
    Account manager display issue.
That might come in handy for people with several computers... did you get to see how that works drezha?

Having only got 3 in a farm, not really. I tried it.

Seemed the same as the one's at the minute (connect to computer), something I'd not figured out before anyhow.

Running 5.4.7 on my laptop now. It didn't have any optimised clients so it didn't lose any benchmarks.

    Will see how it goes.

Might appear that SIMAP does accept connections?
I cant see on the site whether it says what client a computer is actually using or something but it's running the units it had before no problems (when I tried 5.4.4 it didn't and I had to download new ones)

Will keep trying and keep you informed.
