    Many project, little time

    Hi

I have 4 project in Boinc which gives every project 25% crunching time each. If am not is wrong means that the more project I have the lesser time have each project to run?

    Or how?

I think so. If you have 4 projects, which consume 25% of cpu usage each, the time needed for every project will be multiplied by 4. If i'm wrong, please correct because i don't want to provide corrupt information.

Basically, if set to do one hour each, a project will use that amount of a day per hour...

    ie 4 projects at 25%

    24 hours a day

    24/4 = 6 hours

Each project gets 6 hours a day.

So yes, more project will lower the time each project has a day. Of course if you want to increase one above the rest, you would increase it's percentage

if i have 2 projects running with 100 and 100 as the resource share in 24 hours technically they should get 12hours each.

In which case what does this command do:
Switch between applications every - 60minutes
When i have been at my machine i have seen it DOES NOT change projects each 1 hour as you would expect.

It tries to even out the long term debts.

So if something has been on pause or is out of work (like Predictor at the minute) the LTD will increase and BOINC will then try and equalise it...
