...and the use of one of Mito's mega crunch monster workstations to win! :D :D :D
ok i'm im pullin 5megs down 500k up.
I'm not ;)
I've found that BOINC and MJ12 can perfectly coexist, as MJ12 does not take that much CPU power, and BOINC takes barely any bandwidth.
Thus far I am finishing up my 5th and 6th buckets (10K each bucket).
Is there a way to increase the number of "Workers"... this process never fully utilizes the bandwidth I allocated for it. Highest so far has been around 1-1.5mbits and I allocated 4 for it. >_<
I could definitely process more buckets at once (right now doing 3). As long as my router doesn't crash due to the amount of connections (it has been known to do that with BT, when the amount of simultaneous connections is set at about 20 or above).
Nevermind, I just set the max amount of workers to 50 so now it runs pretty nicely
PS: Decided to up it to 75... no more - at that point it starts to considerably push on BOINC's property (CPU).
Kickin' it hard!
Well done everyone, we hit the big one! whoohoo!
I posted our achievement on the current events page on the Wiki since we are the 2nd team to hit the billion. See it here: http://www.majestic12.co.uk/projects...Current_events
