    Welcome AchenDude & Hermann

    Welcome to the forums! :D

Feel free to post any questions that you have, about AMD's, distributed computing, hardware, software, etc... We promise to try to answer.

What projects are you guys in? And what are the specs of your machines? I'm assuming that you guys are on our Team, but if you aren't then tell us who you crunch for. We got plenty of friends from other teams hanging around in here too.

Come by when you can and drop us a line or two. There's always plenty going on around here. And if you like quick games give a try at our arcade. The scores are already a tad high, but it's still fun.

    Have fun!

Hello, I decided to join your team with my little farm - there is only one black sheep (Intel PIII) within the AMD boxes. Hope that´s not causing problems. :D

As you can see, i am not coming with bare hands.

    Hey Hermann

Don't worry about that "black sheep", almost all of us got some of that breed too. :P (owned or borged)
They are proven to be quite the mathematicians, did you know? Those black sheep are famous for outproducing the corresponding white ones on maths projects.

Tell us some more about that little farm of yours. (or should we call it flock?)

And what projects are you running? The people here are widespread on over 50 projects, so whatever you're running you most likely got company from someone here. Good for when one got problems or questions. Don't hesitate to post.

EDIT: How come your location is Spain / Germany? You travel alot?

First of all, Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome. I feel that I found the right team to stay with.

And what projects are you running?
I'm running Einstein, a bit Rosetta and very little Seti. The next couple months I am going to spend quite a bit of time with Stardust@home.
My farm members: AMD - Sempron 3000+, Athlon XP 2600+, Athlon XP 1800+, XP 1600+, XP 1500+ and an old Duron 1300 and last not least - the black sheep, the fastest Slot1 CPU ever built (1 GHz).

How come your location is Spain / Germany?
I am native german, working as a chemist. Later I was employed (16 years) as a Systems analyst at the US-Forces Europe. Because of the troop reduction in Europe in 1993 I went to France for a couple years and opened a Restaurant near Bordeaux (very hard job, but a real challenge).
No, living in Spain I am running a wine cellar (Bodega). Easy job, plenty of time to take care of my computers. :D

    Cheers,
    Hermann

    Hehe

I didn't know the word "Bodega" in Spanish meant wine cellar, but in Portuguese, just as it is written there, it means a worthless object. :P

If you hear any portuguese people there saying that something is a "bodega", that means they think it's worthless.
Altough I don't hear that word being used anymore around here, only remember it of when I was young.
