    I'm a happy camper

Had my first review at work today folks. Been working for the company since October, and I was promoted to a manager 2 weeks ago.

My review went something like this:

    1 - you're doing an outstanding job
2 - we're going to continue to pay the rent on your apartment until the end of the year
3 - we're giving you an extra $5k per annum.

This equates to a salary of $60,000! Not bad for a 25 year old

Next year i'll have to start paying the rent out of my wages, but my gross will become $60k.

And I get to see my girlfriend for the first time in 4 weeks on Sunday \:D/

Floating on air at the moment :D

Congrats!!!!! Good news all around sounds like!

Be careful on the company supplied apartment. I had a company which paid rent on a house for me for a year (it was a killer house too), and come federal tax time, I found out that I had to report the amount of money the company paid for rent as income for myself and pay taxes on it... Suprise!

If you can stand the heat, do it!

What's the state tax in Texas? It's ~7.5% here...

That is awesome! I was thinking about moving down to CA from WA after I finish school ... of course I got the GF that I don't want to leave behind.

It seems like there are 10 times as many jobs down south as there are up here too, and I LOVE the heat!
If you can't make it ... Don't come!

Knowing the Internet I'd give it a week before the whole of Colton know what you're earning! ;) ;)

No more free steak for you sonny Jim!
