Hi, I'm currently running the Ubero project on both my machines.
I've been absent for quite awhile and started out with an AMD 2000+ a few
years back. I'm now using an AMD Sempron 3000+ on one machine and the second is an AMD 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+.

I setup Ubero on both machines this morning but I noticed there's not much activity on that project. Is there another project the AMD users are focusing on?

Ubero is an old project that has already been completed, they are just recycling old Workunits i think. Right now we are racing at Tanpaku the last leg of the Spring BOINC Championship. I think today is the last day of the race, so it will all be over then. I read something about us racing Team Phoenix Rising sometime after the race, but that will still be awhile from now. I really have no idea what we are going to crunch in between.

If you want to join us for the last day of the last race then, BOINC is very user friendly if you have never BOINC'd before. All you have to do is Download and install/run it. When you first start it it should ask for the project's name enter http://issofty17.is.noda.tus.ac.jp for Tanpaku then it will aks for your email address, and you make a password. Once you finish your browser will open up and you can set Name and location. It should also run some benchmarks, so don't move your mouse if you see it saying "running benchmarks" in the messages tab. Then your set forever. You can run as many BOINC projects at the same time as you want.

You joined at a very exciting time with the champshionship ending and all. I have no idea what project we're going to focus on tomorrow, but after the race if they don't say anything, i'm going to run Muon1 (DPAD) to help us out in the DC-Vault. Just stay tuned to the forums and you'll see where we go next. :D

Ok, I set up Boinc on both machines and setup the project Tanpaku.
Under "messages" it keeps showing "no new work from project" once a min.
Could it be the project is finished already?

    Welcome aboard Twilight

I see that JL has brought you over with us to Tanpaku already. There's never lack of projects to run around here, if you ever get tired of Tanpaku or just want to try something different we're participating in over 50 other projects. Just check our stats page here:
    http://stats.amdusers.com/amd_users_position.html

Any problems or questions you got, don't hesitate to post. We're here to answer all questions.

By the way, Ubero has indeed finished their objectives several years ago, and now they're just resending the same workunits just to keep the network and systems running. There's always hope that one day they'll have a new project to crunch, all their systems are ready for it.

    welcome to the team.

right now we dont have any specific project we focus on. but we will post as and when we decide what our next team effort should be on.

for the moment find a project you like and see how high you can climb in the ranks. As you overtake others be sure to post your progress! and see if you can get that number#1 spot.
