Superb there NeoGen, Awesome evidence we can work together to make big movements in the Realm of Crunching Data.

Nice Job there Vaughan/BlackHeath and Evil-Dragon/gamer007  :!: I will be ready for the next championship. Just a little advice, next time change seasons so us that are affected by heat of summer will have the advantage over the boys in the southern hemisphere, just a thought!

Challenge me, or correct me, but don't ask me to die quietly.

…Pursuit is always hard, capturing is really not the focus, it’s the hunt ...

    Thanks guys! :D

You know, there cannot be a contest without participants, so it's me who should be thanking you all.

NFlight, you're right, this should have been a Spring competition, when the temperatures are good for everyone. (But slightly better for those in the southern hemisphere, where it's Autumn). But alas, other things got in the way, and we started it a bit later than predicted.

Hope to see you all again (plus many new members) for next year's competition!

Look at this retrospective... Last year everyone had single cores... this year many people had dual cores already.... so I definitely wanna see some quad-cores running on the next contest!

Maybe a bit late for quad-core.

AMD throws out quad-core challenge to Intel

Number two chip maker AMD says that it will release true quad-core processors by mid-2007, distinguishing the chips from the packaged two dual core design that Intel has announced will be released this year.
I must get my hands on a quad-core. 1 or 2 cores for games, 2 cores for crunching.

    Wow Neo!

Thanks a million! Your effort is greatly appreciated
Next year I am keen to sponsor a few case badges or stickers for the contest...put something up to cruch for

We could even have a fundraiser for a charity or something

Thanks again to all who cruched

    Regards
    Murray

The contest was also good to learn about projects, especially if they're working well or not. There were times I was doubting if there were enough fully working boinc projects to reach the 8 planned races, but everything sorted itself out well in the end.

One project I wish we had raced on was HashClash, but they're on a weak server who would give us problems, and at a point they also stopped serving work because they had gathered more than enough collisions to get onto phase two.

We now have a couple of battles in front of us. This week we gotta push on Red Library the best we can. To be honest I think Ars Technica is gonna steal out 1st rank eventually, they got some really strong members, but we can't let them have it without a fight, can we?

And next week, in the start of August, we got the Team Phoenix Rising Challenge on Folding@Home. They got the home advantage on that project, but I believe we can put up a good show against them if we stick together.
