A guide to running Tor with Red DLV
Does your ISP traffic shape you, or even shut you down after running DLV? Well i have an easy work around for you! :D Tor is a proxy network. When you browse a website using Tor as a proxy, your computer will randomly pick a Tor server to do the downloading for you. That way your computer isn't do the thing that makes your ISP angry. Someone else who doesn't have an angry ISP does. :D Tor is very easy to steup of with just 4 easy steps.
1. Download Tor, Go here and download the latest version for your OS.
2. Install it (you can do it, I believe in you) After it installs you should have a little Blue circle with a "P" in it and an onion with a red X over it. Right click on your onion and click start. If evererything works okay it should turn green.
3.Type stuff in. Now go into your DLV client check "use proxy server" check box. In "server" write "localhost" and in port write "8118."
4. Restart your DLV client. If everything is working right DLV should say "using proxy server" Your blue P should turn Green when it start working and you can tell when it is validating a link. Tor is a little slow depending on which server you computer randomly picks and it may take a while to download the link data. If you see the P turn green then it's working for sure.
If you have any problems or sucess stories just post here. :D
