Projects in which we need a push

I've been doing a part of the calculations that are presented on the newsletter each month, so I can see what projects we need most help on.

Here's a list of projects with less than 5 people active on them...
    ** Seventeen-or-Bust Sieve
    ** DPAD
    ** Euler
    ** Evolution@Home
    ** Grid.org
    ** PSP (LLR and Sieve)
** Riesel Sieve (LLR and Sieve)
    ** TSC

And here's a list of projects where our production was alarmingly low last month (excluding the above listed ones)
    ** Chess960@Home
** Ralph@Home (lack of work maybe?)
    ** SZTAKI
    ** uFluids
    ** Seventeen-or-Bust

So if you reading this feel undecided on what to run, and give the Team a boost on a needy project, consider one of the above ones.
I'll update those lists once a month, around the time of the newsletter, if there is interest in this thread.

Sieving - I'm crunching my little heart out in BOINC RS now. No rigs left spare for "conventional sieving".

    Ralph - no work.

D2OL / TSC - still leave a bad taste in my mouth after they obliterated the years of hard work I've crunched for them.

Chess - occasional problem with the application causing a report to Microsoft windows error message. When this occurs it causes BOINC to idle until Chess communicates next; this can cause a considerable delay in crunching. Only got a couple of lower powered rigs running this critter.

Sztaki - eeek! Mega long running work units. Greater than 400 hours on my Opteron 165 so I've abandoned everying I downloaded until they bring some sense back into the WU sizes.

SOB - only worth running if you have P4s to spare. Athlons are useless at it; better that they run Sieving and BOINC Riesel Sieve is the way to go. It is SO MUCH easier to run than conventional sieving. Keep up the good work Bryan, Lee and Rytis and I think our former team-mate Chuck is involved behind the scenes there too :thumbleft:
