If pro is opposite of con, then what is the opposite of progress?
Congress!
They tried it last year, but I think it didn't go so well and they canceled it... at least I didn't hear anything about it anymore since then.

The guys @ Folding are missing out by not being on BOINC...Originally Posted by daddygeek

They probably set their priorities on getting a working PS3 client by the time of the PS3 release. I can understand why they want it... If they get 1 out of every 100 PS3 owners to crunch for them, they'll have an enormous boost in computing power.

The FaH project team did start working on a BOINC-Alpha back in late-April 2005
However, they quickly found that it was difficult to use the existing client in the BOINC framework, and a code re-write was warranted.
Their wiki still refers to this as work in-progress.
However, as FaH has always maintained a massive active membership I guess there has been less urgency about it.
I am fairly sure that I recollect a restricted note about a closed beta around 7 months ago, but I have to admit I have seen no reference to it since then.
Hopefully they will surprise us soon.
FAH's main priority is version 6 of there own client. (Current versions are 5.02 Console and 5.03 graphical with 5.04 console being a (stable ;)) beta client.)
Getting the v6 is priority one as I said, because they have a large following with that.
There also working on getting the GPU of GFX cards working. This is in an internal Beta at the mo and looks to be a public beta in about a month.
The PS3 client is another step.
Proper double threaded clients are being looked at as well I believe.
BOINC is still under way. They've suffered a setback as they've had to change development teams or something and that'll delay it.

Ah, I had posted a few months ago that I expected Boinc (distributed computing actually) to persue the power of GPU's. They are so much better at computation than CPU's.
I seem to have lost a post, so I'll re-post it:
I can't get F@H to use both cores, even when I suspend Einstein@Home (my other active project). What's the trick?
Downloiad the core client twice and run two clients;)
for example, one goes in C:/Program Files/FAH/CPU1 and the other goes in C:/Program Files/FAH/CPU2.
Make sure you use the -local flag mind I believe.
It's all on there wiki. Search goolge for Folding Wiki.
Hope that helps
Another thing I noticed due to running F@H; I used to be able to run Boinc while the manager was completely shut down. The only way to see that E@H or P@H was running was to re-IPL and check out the resources on that Task Manager. This seemed to make it run slightly faster. However, now that I have F@H running on one core I have to have the Boinc manager running to run E@H.
