Riesel Sieve would be great, we're fighting to keep our #1 rank right now

Welcome, I'm new at this also. It seem to be alot of fun and there must the hundreds of ways to compare stats. As with all numbers if you look hard enough you can find them saying what you want. lol I have had my dual crunching on the Reisel Sieve site for the last 15 hours and it seems to be moving right along. I just finished putting 2 more 3500+'s on it a few minutes ago. There are a small number of high scoring people so a newcomer has a chance to advance in the ratings fairly quickly. This is the URL if your intrested: http://boinc.rieselsieve.com/

I don't have a dual setup, but I think that in Windows XP you can verify that on the task manager... Right click on the taskbar and choose the option or press Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring it up. If you see two cpu graphs then you got a dual core, or dual cpu setup.

not on mine neo! I had seen the two graph task manager in magazines and expected it, but i dont know :?

download CPUZ and it will tell you all the procesor information.

**thinking about it BOINC itself will identify the CPU.

Boinc did ID my dual but I had to change the prefrences to allow it to use both. Just change the pref to 2 then it will show 2 items running at once in "tasks".
