    Which to buy?

Nice to meet you Nflight, let me start off by saying there are many ways to feed your thirst for new equipment. Let me point out that there are many people here who will give you advice, because we each see opportunity to help you.

First off your probably looking at one system right now, at least or your using someone elses machine to access the web. I have two systems and I am working on my third. I only have one monitor and one keyboard & mouse. I use something called a KVM Switch which allows me to switch between systems with out having two or three of everything. ( KVM stands for Keyboard Video Mouse). I can theoretically add as many as I want as long as I gang them together. But I have the availability to hook four up.

You want to look at being progressive by looking to purchase pin configurations that will allow you to improve your system over the course of years to come. This would be to ask the place for a AM2 pin configuration, the reason I am saying this every system you have picked is for a 939 pin and you should be looking for the 1241 pin setup. These motherboards are no more expensive then normal 939's except the 939 is going to be phased out in the next year or so. After that you will need to upgrade and pull more money out of your pocket.

I also have been around the block with dealing with online sellers, they mean well but they really are looking out for their pocket before they are looking out for you. My suggestion is to find a phone and make some phone calls, ask around the yellow pages and even the white pages. Find someone who owns a computer shop who can relate to your needs and you can explain your into DC ing. If he doesn't understand teach him something by directing him to our website. Explain your enthusiasm to compete with your skills in the computer, and that you need to feel wanted (which you are a very improtant part of us, every Team member has a beneficial status that can't be explained). This computer local shop to you may even make house calls due to your situation. I know if I press hard enough I can get anyone to come to my door for service.

So all you need now is the mainframe or server box and nothing else if you go with a KVM Switch, and the price of the system will come down considerably.

Which to buy? So many options, we will all help you find what you can afford and feel great about it. :!:

Actually the 3700 series computer would be your better bet. I had a 3500 series and loved it for what it was. All these machines are single core. emachines do not have the same respect as Tiger direct or New Egg.

Tiger direct or New Egg, either one of these businesses are respectable, but remember this only my opinion. Tomorrow there will be more people on here and they too will have there concerns. Sleep on it one more night, it will be very well worth your time.

I am sorry to here of your tragic end is near, that makes me feel really sad.

I've had very good dealings with NewEgg, a good company.
