Usually if it is a voltage problem the computer won't run. However it is possible it could be. I was just saying that in the normal odds of things, the first thing would be memory going out, specially if it has been runing for a long time. I get that problem and it usually shows up as seg fault errors on linux systems, where the system was running flawlessly for a long time.

About the only way you can tell is to swap parts and see what happens.

I´ve run CPU-Z and when I checked memory slot I notised following:

    Clot 1 512 MB
    Frequency 200 MHz
    CAS#Latency 2,5
    RAC#to CAS 3
    RAC#Precharge 3
    Tras 8

    Slot 2 512 MB
    Frequency 133 MHz 166 MHz 200 MHz
    CAS#Latency 2,0 2,5 2,0
    RAC#to CAS 3, 3, 4
    RAC#Precharge 8, 3, 4
    Tras 6, 7, 8

    Slot 1 has a freqency of 200
    Slot 2 has 3 different frequency of 133, 166 and 200 MHz
CAC and RAC is different to Clot 1.

Is that right? If I have 2 memorys installed should they not be similar on both RAC and CAC.

    Memory timings

    Frequency: 171,3 MHz
    FSB: DRAM
    CAS#Latency 2,5
    RAC#to CAS Delay 3 Clocks
    RAC#Precharge 3 Clocks
    Cycle Time (Tras) 7
Bank Cycle Time (Trc) 10 Clocks
    Command rate 1T
    Dram Idle Time 10 Clocks

Chould it be better have one memory at 1024 MB instead for 2 at 512 MN?

    Is there any wrong?

When you put more than one stick of memory in a system, they should both be the same in order to keep weird things from happening. You could put in one stick of a larger amount. However.......... some systems need two sticks to maintain the highest memory speed. Doesn't sound like yours was set up for that though.

As for the speed, both sticks of memory should be the same.

A matched set is my first choice, be it 2x512's at the same speed or 2x1024, after that would be a 1 gig stick, and last would be a mismatched set. But even a mismatched set equal to 1 gig is better than 512. If they are mismatached then both will run at the speed of the lower speed stick.

I am working on a way to bring in outside air this winter with my compresser out in the shed. I would bring it in and have a regulated flow onto the dimm and the cpu. lol
