    ...english translation... with apologies

I have an Asus motherboard, Athlon 64 3200+. With exception of the parts I bought for it, all my performance increases were done by playing with the BIOS settings ONLY.

PM me if you like, let me know what you have and what you would like to do and I will see if / how I can help.

*EDIT* DSPY, or any other such programs take CPU power to run. But let's also talk about the 2 vs 3 node thing too. *END EDIT *

    BC.

    PS: Apologies for the 'geek'.

For what it's worth, it (DSpy) doesn't take up that much processing power.

As far as running 2 nodes vs. 3, My systems runs perfectly normal with 2 nodes running 24/7. With 3 nodes running I get alot of lag time. I supose if I ran 3 all day it would make a diffrence as far as WU's are concerned, but it's not worth the lack of system performace when i'm sitting at it. I guess when it comes down to it, I prefer the stability of 2 nodes versus 3.

    Anyone have any comments?

    BC,

I understand the objective of overclocking. I'm not stupid!?!?!?
What I don't understand is the way talk to each other, the tecnical language.
I know what is a voltage, a FSB, RPM...

If I want I can talk to you about Mechanical of Fluids, Thermodynamics, Lufrification, with tenical language and i beat you will not understand.

    apologies

I'm sorry, I did not mean to insult your intelligence. I don't know what you know. I was searching for a common frame of reference to build on.

I am sure you can talk to me about fluid dynamics and lose me and I could go further into the electronics and talk about timing cycle relationships and the importants of 4 nanoseconds of delay between two timing pulses...

I honestly was just searching for common ground based on your wording.

PLEASE accept my apology if I sounded insulting in any way...that is not what I meant.

    Pepe,

    Agreed and misunderstanding resolved.

Now, back to that 2 vs 3 node thing...... (which is what we need to
solve here)... what do the 3 nodes all share? whatever that is,
it has to be the bottleneck....

If it's the Internet connection.... I have a few tools for that.

    I'm sure you're all aware of DrTCP (www.dslreports.com) .

You can test your speed, tweek your TCP Receive window (MOST
IMPORTANT) and then set the other parameters.

I have a list of settings for varios OSs... just let me know if anyone
    needs any.

It's weird. I can run 3 instances of Ubero and my system works fine. 3 instances of D2OL screws up my performace. I have 1 GB of Ram so I doubt that's the problem. I have it running as a low priority process but it still jacks up my performance. I have gotten the best results runnig 2 instances of D2OL.

I am getting about 145-150 a day out of it. I am going to check my others for comparison and post all the different machines with their specs when I can get to it. :D
