A64 on the way...
I decided to go ahead and upgrade my XP3200 to an A643200. Not sure if that is really worth it but we will see. I figure it has some overclocking potential too. :D

Same here - I just recieved my A64 - 3500! But waiting on a socket 939 board (NFORCE 3- 250) to become available!

That is the very reason I got the 754 setup. They are just getting some decent boards out for it and I figure it will be August before the 939 has boards out from Asus which is my personal favorite. :D

Let us know how it runs some of the DC projects!

I will. I am hoping it shines in F@H since it has SSE2.

The good and the bad. I have my new A64 3200 with an MSI nForce 3 250 board up and running. The good news is that it is very snappy in doing about everything and runs my favorite game, Planetside, noticeabley better. The down side is that even with SSE2 F@H, when it gives you the benchmark number at startup, is rating this one at 7280 while my XP was getting 7380. I am anxious to see how it runs on D2OL and others. I am running it at stock speed which on this board seems to bee slightly high at 2211 MHz. One other problem that seems to be common with the Newcastle, 512K cache, version is that MBM tells me the CPU temp is about 60 deg. when it is really only 35-40. I guess Abit had the same problem and fixed it with a BIOS update so I hope MSI is soon to follow. I was worried as usual a little bit about changing motherboard brands, but after an ASUS that I loved I will have to say this MSI is top notch and I am glad I tried them.

In 3dMark03 I went from a score of 5970 to a score of 6176 :D

I don't understand why you upgraded your XP3200 to an A643200. What's the increase of speed, 15%?

Oh well all this talk of new computers. Has made me go out and buy another computer. A XP2600+ on an Asrock k7 mobo to join the XP2400+ on an Asrock k7 mobo which i have had for a while. :D :D :D
