    AMD Turion ML32 1.8GHz

I've just ordered a laptop for a customer. It's an Acer Aspire 5003WLMi with an AMD Turion ML32 1.8 GHz processor.

What I can't find out is the speed rate. Is it a 3000+, 34000+ or some other ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Ototero,

I have an Acer 5102 WLMi it has the X2 TL50 @ 1.6 and you might as well order an extra gig of mem right now. It's not a bad little machine but w/o the extra mem it would barely turn on. The wife only uses it to take notes at school (office XP) and it had trouble with that. It benchmarks near where my 2200+ does and forget OC'ing it. But, for the price it's not a bad deal. It has the Turion "S" socket so it is upgradeable. Jen's had the 100 gig HD and it does tend to run hot, so you migh want to mention to the client to never run it on anything but a hard surface.

I did see that page Spikey, but it doesn't say what intel equivalent it is.

My 2.00 ghz machine is rated at 3000+ but I've seen 1.8 ghz rated at 3400+.

@ Gate, I did mention running on a breadboard (they are the right size).

    Ototero,
The reason I brought that up was a student of mine used to sit in his bed in his dorm room and do home work. He couldn't figure out why his brand new Viao burned up. lol Blankets work very well blocking ventilation.

Why does it matter what the equivalent to the other processor is? AMD's are just better!

I always buy AMD for my clients, I couldn't live with myself if I bought anything different.

It's just that my clients aren't computer literate, therefore the bigger the Ghz number the better it seems for them
