    Upgrading to 3.19 CC (GUI)

I listed (on my web page) a quick way to get 3.19.... you're welcome to grab it...

shutdown all BOINC first (exit)... and then run the installer.
On first startup it will re-benchmark... it's MUCH more accurate.
When you hit 'update' for each project will update your benchmark #'s.
It will have no impact on which application you re running for each project.

    I am running 3.19 w/ predictor's 3.06 app, and Seti's 3.08 (?) app.

You will find that 3.19 CC is more stable and has less upload/download problems than 3.07. It also implements high/low watermark job downloads and better HT / multi-cpu management.

Hope this helps sort out the confusion.

Just as Chaz's avatar so bluntly states.....

I have no AMD processor but I am contributing to the stats as well.

So I recommend that Chaz change his avatar to:

    Any objections???

Yes your P4 is fast, as a matter of fact I just HAD to try one just to see how great they are. The last true Pentium I owned was a 233MMX,lol.
I thought it would make a big difference with video editing, and I got the Prescott with the 1mbL2, but it wasnt as astounding as I had hoped..
I will say it wouldnt surprise me if I could fry eggs on this puppy, man it runs HOT.
But on projects like Ubero and SOB where fsb is loved, these things fly, no doubt about that.

Also I have another board here for a socket 478 cpu, but I had a bad flash when upgrading through Windows with Gigabytes @bios software.

I've been thinking of upgrading my Laptop, which has a 2.6 Celeron(benchmarks about equivalent to an XP2000  ), and moving up to a P4 2.8 400fsb, then i could use the Celery to crunch also, but havent done it yet. First I guess the board has to go back to Gigabyte.
D2OL doesnt like Intel cpu's, thats for sure.

LOL, I tried but it's too big, has to be less than 120x120 or it wont go.

I dont have these machines because Im on some kind of power trip, Lord knows for what they have cost over the last couple of years, I could have probably had my Hot Rod finished, or my pickup lifted with new meats and probably some sheetmetal and paint also.
I have them because i enjoy building them and I suppose maybe I got a bit carried away.

EVERYONE'S computers are a great help to this team, whether it be 1 or 50, thats why we are a team.

Just because I have 9 doesnt mean shit, so I'd appreciate it if you would stop doing that.
