I actually have an AMD 2600 and a 3800+ running projects. My slooww machines are a PIII and a couple of AMD @1.3 or so confusers.

I will be in the market for an new confuser sometime this summer.

I have a 2200 and an 866 GHz Intel that run extreme lab. 10 min a wu same as my 4800 lol

I'm not sure what I'll wind up with. I don't need the 'bleeding edge' equipment. I'll just wait 6 months, and buy the 6 month old parts.... for 1/3 the price.
