    me

I am from aloha, oregon originally. I love computers and have built amd systems from my first 486. I am currently researching building a new box, but so far I only have a case - though it is really nothing special. I am thinking that I may build a dual core opteron with the 1212 chip and then overclock it to something impressive (perhaps not as much as mitro)! I currently have an xp2400 and a k6-2-500 so I am in need of an upgrade. I also have a couple of other boxes that I have access to that crunch pretty well. For my next system I want to build a cruncher, but also a decent gamer. It is hard to find the balance between games and family (as I have a 3 yr old) and the budget. What is life if not for challenges?

    That's a fantastic line.

    Welcome aboard Jerod

I'm sure we can help you decide what to build. I'm considering another box soon but have to save up a bit more.

Too many projects, too much opposition, never enough crunchers

Welcome Jerod, Yes Vaughan I also like that one liner!

Challenge me, or correct me, but don't ask me to die quietly.
