Ubero is a dead project. It has been for a long time. You can't even run Ubero anymore.

Boinc is a platform that let's you choose from many different projects. Where Ubero is a single project. Boinc is like General Motors and Ubero is a Chevy Blazer. You can also run non-bonic projects such as Eon or Pi Segment the differance is that with the non-boinc projects you have to download their software seperatly where with Boinc you download the Boinc software and just enter the URL for the project you want to run and it all runs on the Boinc software. Here is a list of many of the projects:

    BOINC and Ubero analagies

In case things were not clear,

Ubero is like William Hung, BOINC is like Johnny Cash...

Ubero is a garden trowel, BOINC is a snow plow...

But truth be told, The Ubero folks have been looking for new applications to run for the past few years. Don't know how or why didn't get any, but I guess that if they were looking then they should be able to run several applications too.

But boinc wins. It has had way more active development already, it's more popular, and it's fully open source.
