how do the low wattage chips o/c?

Thanks for all your input. I guess if I am to o/c then I guess it has to be an opteron in order to be meaningful. If I go that route I will probably be looking at the 1212.

The coolest (heat wise) you can get are the VIA chips usually on Mini-ITX - so cool they can rely on passive cooling.

Yeah but they're slow and don't overclock well (well at least not upto the scale where they'd be any good for DC)

Great for office etc but not for crunching.
