    Thanks for all your input. I guess if I am to o/c then I guess it has to be an opteron in order to be meaningful. If I go that route I will probably be looking at the 1212.

    Yeah but they're slow and don't overclock well (well at least not upto the scale where they'd be any good for DC)

    Great for office etc but not for crunching.
